Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst (Financial Control)

📍 Location: Derby (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
📅 Contract: 12 Months
💰 Rate: £460/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional with strong financial reporting and financial control experience to work within a high-performing finance team supporting a complex global business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver monthly financial reporting and actuals with detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Partner with finance teams to develop budgets and forecasts that support business planning.
  • Ensure financial reporting accuracy through robust financial controls, governance, and documentation.
  • Lead balance sheet reconciliations, reviews, and assurance activities.
  • Manage audit deliverables and internal reporting requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and controls.
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders across finance and the wider business.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in Financial Control, Financial Reporting, FP&A, or Corporate Finance.
  • Experience preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and technical accounting.
  • Experience with ERP/Finance systems such as SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), or One Hyperion Planning (OHP).
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting audits and balance sheet reconciliations.
