About the role
We’re excited to be recruiting for a Senior Finance Analyst – Central and People Costs, reporting into the Finance Manager – Central and People Costs.
The team covers two main areas:
- Supporting the People Team and the Finance Manager to control, forecast and report all ‘People’ costs
- Management of Financials (Actuals and Forecast) for the Central OPEX Functions (Finance, People and Legal etc.)
As a Senior Finance Analyst – Central and People Costs you will
- Manage OPEX trackers for Central OPEX Functions (Finance, People and Legal etc.), including regular communication with budget holders to ensure the accuracy of POs & ensure PO trackers are fully updated ahead of month end meetings
- Attend month end meetings with the Central Opex Function stakeholders to discuss monthly performance & full year outlook
- Prepare month end commentary for actuals vs budget/forecast
- Identify key Risks & Opportunities within Central Functions & Central Payroll
- Own month end journal posting for Central Payroll and Central Opex Functions
- Work with the Payroll team to ensure accurate posting of head office costs each month
- Support preparation of annual budgets and regular reforecasts for Central Payroll and Central Functions
- Completing financial modelling and other ad hoc projects, as and when required to support the People team, the CFO, Director of Group FP&A and Group FP&A team
- Implementing and adhering to the Group’s internal controls
- Supporting the People and Finance teams with Group Audits

About you
- Part Qualified/ Newly Qualified Accountant – ACA/CIMA/ACCA equivalent
- Previous experience in Retail/FMCG desirable
- Advanced Excel skills with experience of building and working with models, reports and large data sets
- Experience using Microsoft Powerpoint
- Experience using Anaplan (or a similar forecasting system) desirable
- Ability to think logically and methodically, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, having the confidence to communicate clearly with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders (both finance and non-finance)
- Flexible & proactive, with curiosity and eagerness to learn
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively within a fast paced, scaling business
