About The Role
You will be required to assist Financial Accounting Manager in the management and preparation of UK group reporting, statutory reporting, statutory and internal audit, UK treasury services, and providing a wide range of accounting services.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Assist in the preparation of UK Group annual statutory accounts including UK elements of the consolidation and relevant disclosure notes, as well as individual company accounts for companies in the UK and Ireland
- Review of work performed by Finance Analyst
- Assist in the management of audit time table and process, collating responses to audit queries to meet audit timeframe
- Assist in the preparation of cash flow reporting and budgeting/forecasting including short term and annual and providing commentary against budget/forecast and prior year
- Assist with month end close and maintenance of general ledger for UK entities, including forecasting, accounting and reporting and preparation and review of UK balance sheet recs and restatements
- Completion and review of elements of the month end process including journals, one-time and ensuring all intercompany balances reconcile in full
- Assisting with any ad hoc queries, analyses and projects as required
- Continuously improve and document procedures and controls for all aspects of the role
- Perform internal audit as assigned, making suggestions for improvement as appropriate
- Approving bank payments, assist with EU treasury management

What You’ll Bring
- Newly accounting qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Good understanding of accounting preparation requirements
- Good accounting technical knowledge
- Good attention to detail, dedicated to providing quality, error-free work
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills and good Excel skills
- Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multitask
- Good self-starter and quick learner
- Works well under pressure
- Proactive and eager to learn
