Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Finance FP&A Analyst to be a key member supporting EMEA Commercial Sales.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing divisions within Amazon in a newly created role. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will partner closely with business leaders and their teams, providing strategic support by developing financial models and generating analytical insights to evaluate business opportunities and concepts. You will turn insights into operational measurements and drive innovation to improve our planning and forecasting tools and processes.
This role requires a financial modeling background, advanced Excel abilities, problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and project management skills. This role has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal skills.
At Amazon, we believe that in-person collaboration is essential to our culture and innovation. While we allow flexibility for personal circumstances, we generally expect employees to work from our offices five days a week. This approach has consistently shown that spontaneous interactions, rapid problem-solving, and the energy of in-person teamwork lead to better results for our customers. In particular, our data shows that teams working together in person are more effective at making complex decisions, onboarding new team members, and fostering the kind of creative collaboration that has driven Amazon's success. The serendipitous hallway conversations and impromptu whiteboarding sessions that happen naturally in an office environment have proven invaluable to our invention process and maintaining our high bar for excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
