Financial Analyst – Global Liquidity Management (Up to Vice President)

Location Overview: Chester
Nestled in a city rich in history, culture, and landscapes, Chester offers a serene backdrop of North Wales hills and the River Dee. The Team & Role Overview
The Global Liquidity Management (GLM) team ensures timely, accurate liquidity reporting across global entities, including:
- Chester’s team (28+) historically focused on EMEA (UK, Ireland, EU) regulatory compliance.
- A new opportunity to expand into global liquidity reporting—bringing fresh challenges and growth.
Core Responsibilities in GLM:
✅ Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare, monitor, and analyse liquidity submissions & management metrics.
- Align with regulator reporting rules and data standards.
✅ Process & Technology:
- Enhance reporting processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Customise analytical capabilities using available tools.
- Conduct system testing and understand end-to-end liquidity process impacts.
- Monitor controls & documentation to manage operational risk.

✅ Ad-hoc & Strategic Work:
- Support senior management & regulators with liquidity and ad-hoc analyses.
- Collaborate with Global Markets, Corporate Treasury, LOB teams, and financial controllers to strengthen financial reporting and business operations.
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Perform regulatory liquidity reporting, metrics monitoring, and predictive analytics.
- Deep-dive into liquidity, financial product complexities, and projections.
- Ensure RegTech/tech tools align with global data standards and face regulator scrutiny.
- Drive workplace technology enhancements (e.g., automating reports, code optimisations).
- Streamline processes and quality-check inputs to reduce errors and operational risk.
- Share best practices across global locations on efficiency and control.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
🔸 A solid academic background (2:1 or equivalent). 🔸 Exceptional Excel skills: data models, pivot tables, macro automation. 🔸 Analytical mindset: detail-oriented with expertise in broken down narratives. 🔸 Experience preparing high-level presentations for senior management & regulators. 🔸 Collaborative & proactive: ability to solve problems across multiple teams. 🔸 Hands-on with financial infrastructures: familiarity with statutory reporting & business connectivity.
Preferred
🔹 Hands-on experience in Corporate Treasury (especially in financial institutions). 🔹 Expertise in Global Markets, LOB finance, or Risk teams. 🔹 Training in workflow consistency, whether in structured reporting (e.g. Excel VBA, SQL) or auditor-centric approaches. 🔹 Comfortable implementing reporting frameworks within deadline-heavy environments.
