Senior Finance Analyst RTR - Controlling

Grade: RCS L

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Coleshill (B46 1DA)

Hybrid working - 3 days at site

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst RTR to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

What Does the Role Entail?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform accounting processes in scope for a range of sites, customers, or functions as directed like month end, reconciliations (i.e. Payroll Recs, Revenue BS Rec, etc.), fixed assets accounting, etc.
  • Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's, and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes.
  • Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision-making.
  • Effectively maintain period end and year-end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope.
  • Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production.
  • Participate in process improvement workshops and activity.
  • Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution, and any escalations.
  • Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management.
  • Support change programmes.
  • Ensure all standard accounting processes on and off system are followed, identifying continuous improvement opportunities to the Reporting Manager.
  • Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required. Any other purchasing or operational admin-related activities as required by the Controller or Manager.

What Do We Need From You?

  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements - strong month-end experience essential.
  • 2-3 Years experience of performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry would be a preference.
  • Experience of using Oracle Cloud would be a preference.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Clear, effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Flexible and resilient.
