About the Role

We are representing a successful and growing property finance company based in North London, specialising in bespoke funding solutions across a diverse property portfolio. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant to join their friendly and expanding finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a varied role, supporting the day-to-day finance function and ensuring accurate financial reporting within a dynamic and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Bookkeeping and posting journal entries using double-entry bookkeeping principles
  • Managing daily payment runs and processing payments
  • Monitoring and allocating receivables
  • Preparing portfolio statements for funders
  • Drafting mortgage and repayment statements for borrowers
  • Managing the accounts inbox and resolving queries
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • Supporting credit control activities and reporting

Key Requirements

  • AAT qualification (or equivalent recognised accounting/bookkeeping qualification) is essential.
  • 3 years+ experience in an accounts or finance role, within property finance (bridging, buy-to-let, residential, or commercial lending)
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
  • Experience with accounts payable and receivable
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
