Senior Finance Business Partner

Up to £80,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits | Newly Created Role | Luton (Hybrid, 2-3 Days from Home)

Step into one of the most exciting seats in FMCG. Partner directly with commercial leadership at a business that's growing fast and winning industry awards while it does it.

We are partnering with a well established and highly respected specialist distributor to appoint a Commercial Finance Business Partner into a newly created role reporting directly to the Finance Director. This is a business with decades of heritage and a large, premium product portfolio, supplying some of the most prestigious names in hospitality and retail. Privately backed with serious momentum behind it, the business has grown its team by around 50% in the last 18 months alone and recently picked up two major industry awards. This is a business genuinely on the move, and finance is expected to be right in the middle of that momentum.

The Role

This is not a role for anyone who wants to sit behind a spreadsheet. You will be the finance voice inside the commercial operation, working shoulder to shoulder with Sales Directors and commercial leadership to shape pricing, challenge performance and influence decisions that move the business forward. You will report into a Finance Director who is genuinely invested in building a commercial finance function that has real presence and real influence, not just a reporting line. Expect to be backed, challenged and stretched in equal measure.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The pace is fast and the priorities shift constantly, which is exactly the environment where this role is designed to thrive. No two weeks look the same, and that variety is the point, not a side effect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the primary finance partner to Sales and commercial leadership, providing insight, challenge and strategic support
  • Owning the end to end pricing process, leading the annual pricing cycle and in year price changes across Sales, Buying, IT and Operations
  • Monitoring gross margin performance, flagging risks and opportunities and recommending corrective action
  • Delivering monthly reporting on margin, pricing performance, customer profitability and product level insight
  • Providing scenario modelling and profitability analysis for pricing strategies, new products and commercial business cases
  • Supporting marketing ROI analysis and post investment evaluation
  • Building commercial dashboards and tools alongside the Group data team to improve visibility of performance
  • Owning budgeting and forecasting for commercial areas, with clear, well supported outlooks

Your Impact

  • Become a genuinely trusted finance partner to a fast growing, award winning commercial team
  • Shape a brand new role with real scope to define how commercial finance operates across the business
  • Bring pricing and margin governance to a level that drives sharper decisions, not just cleaner reporting
  • Influence strategy through insight that people actually act on, not reports that sit unread
  • Work at the centre of a business investing seriously in its people and its growth
