Capital Markets Finance Business Partner – UK & Ireland

About the Role

You will partner strategically with business leaders and key stakeholders across national and regional UK capital markets to drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

As a key member of the UK Capital Markets Steering Committee, you will:

  • Shape business direction by actively contributing strategic insights and providing constructive challenge.
  • Proactively influence daily operations while defining long-term business strategy.
  • Engage confidently with senior leadership, presenting insights, challenging assumptions, and driving accountability for results.

You will:

  • Elevate executive presence to command respect through expertise, gravitas, and strategic acumen.
  • Lead transformational change initiatives to deliver critical commercial, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Establish robust commercial frameworks and support upskilling business teams on finance terminology (promotees) to deepen JLL metrics understanding and drive profitability.

Key focus areas:

Business Partnership & Strategic Influence

  • Work as a trusted advisor, influencing senior stakeholders to achieve financial and strategic goals.
  • Ensure accountability for results across UK & Ireland capital markets.

Performance Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Deliver comprehensive business performance insights that maximise growth and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to:
    • Assess risks and evaluate market dynamics.
    • Collaborate with Internal Research teams.
    • Forecast future performance impacts through data-driven decision-making.
  • Transform complex data into actionable intelligence for competitive advantage.

Financial Planning & Corporate Finance Excellence

  • Evolve budgeting and forecasting to increase accuracy and strategic foresight.
  • Web ownership of developing long-term financial plans aligned with business strategy pillars.
  • Work with existing pipeline reporting models and refine cost forecasting.
  • Provide expert support for revenue recognition matters, partnering with Controllership and the Centre of Excellence (COE).
  • Optimise working capital and ensure smooth forecasting for commissions, ensuring visibility throughout the year.
  • Lead initiatives to improve invoice collection timelines.

Stategic Business Development

  • Identify high-potential growth areas and optimisation opportunities in UK & Ireland capital markets (within a three-year strategic horizon).
  • Architects growth strategies to enhance profitability—both in absolute terms and margin efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership on talent acquisition, evaluating ROI and payback periods of strategic hires.

Global Collaboration & Knowledge Exchange

  • As the Capital Markets Finance Business Partner for the largest market outside the US, collaborate closely with the Eurasia Capital Markets FP&A leader.
  • Proactively showcase beneficial cross-market learnings to scale efficiency across J10 leasing markets.
  • Exchange best practices—optimising processes for increased UK & Ireland market profitability.
  • Build strong partnerships with Eurasia and Global Capital Markets FP&A teams to foster collaborative growth.

Requirements

To thrive in this fast-paced, strategic role, you need:

  • Academic qualifications:
    • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA required).
  • Relevant experience:
    • Prior experience in analytical and business partnering roles.
  • Core business skills:
    • Exceptional influencing, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.
  • Leadership and execution:
    • Ability to be a dynamic, self-driven independent contributor, capable of working with minimal oversight.
  • Technical proficiency:
    • Advanced Excel mastery, with a keen attention to detail for senior-level business presentations.
  • Soft skills:
    • Possess the execarel gravitas needed to drive results from senior leadership teams.
