Shape Strategy. Influence Decisions. Make a Difference.
At Leonard Cheshire, finance is about far more than reporting numbers. We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Finance FP&A Business Partner to help shape strategic decisions that support our mission of enabling disabled people to live, learn and work as independently as possible.
This is a high-impact role where you'll work alongside executive leaders and senior operational stakeholders, providing the financial insight that drives investment, service development and long-term sustainability. You'll partner with a diverse portfolio including care homes and central functions such as HR and Marketing, helping turn data into meaningful decisions that improve lives.
If you're looking for a role that offers real influence, senior stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to develop into a future finance leader, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
You'll become a trusted adviser to senior leaders by:
- Providing commercial insight, financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions and investment cases.
- Leading driver-based budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Delivering clear, insightful performance reporting that identifies risks, opportunities and actions.
- Partnering with operational leaders, providing constructive challenge and helping build financial understanding across the organisation.
- Taking a hands-on approach where required, supporting journals, purchase orders and ledger approvals.
- Mentoring colleagues and contributing to finance transformation, including automation, AI adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
