Role Overview
Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role plays a key part in providing end-to-end financial oversight and business partnering support across a large-scale, multi-year transformation programme. You will work closely with executive leadership, programme stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive financial planning, performance tracking, and governance across transformation initiatives including operating model redesign, digital transformation, and technology implementation.
This is a high-visibility role with significant exposure to senior stakeholders, focused on delivering commercial insight, strengthening financial governance, and supporting strategic decision-making in a complex, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for a large-scale transformation programme, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support executive decision-making across transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess business cases, track benefits realisation, and support investment decisions.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, analysing variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Own financial governance and reporting processes for transformation activities, ensuring robust tracking of actuals versus plan.
- Support the implementation of new operating models by assessing financial impacts and enhancing reporting processes.
- Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to provide challenge, insight, and advisory support on transformation performance.
- Lead the development of financial governance frameworks and operating rhythms across programme management, finance, and business teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, processes, and financial transparency.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insight to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Promote strong stakeholder engagement across finance, programme management, and operational teams.
- Ensure effective identification, management, and escalation of financial risks associated with transformation activities.
- Contribute to the development of finance processes, controls, and policies to support a robust risk management framework.
- Coach and support colleagues where required, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing finance environment.

- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Strong experience in finance business partnering within transformation, change, or project-based environments.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes, including technology and target operating model initiatives.
- Strong commercial and financial analysis capability, with experience building models and delivering actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information.
- Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and creating structure where processes are evolving.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and support change initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience within consulting, strategy, or private equity-backed environments is advantageous.
