Senior Finance Business Partner

Flexible

Permanent 35 hours per week £54,964 - £64,029 per annum

About the Team:

SRUC’s Finance team plays a critical role in enabling the institution to deliver on its mission through sound financial management, strategic insight, and operational support. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the team provides a cohesive service encompassing financial control, planning, analysis, and procurement.

The team ensures the integrity of financial operations, while also working in partnership with commercial, academic and professional services colleagues to support effective budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring. Finance and Procurement support decision-making at every level by delivering meaningful insight into financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Join SRUC as a Senior Finance Business Partner, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and supporting key organisational decisions. Acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, you will provide high-quality financial insight, challenge and support across a diverse portfolio of academic, commercial and professional services.

You will lead and develop the Finance Business Partnering service, ensuring consistent, value-adding support across the institution. As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, you will influence financial strategy, organisational performance and resource allocation, helping shape how Finance supports decision-making across SRUC.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on business partnering in one of Scotland's most distinctive higher education institutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Candidates with substantial relevant experience and demonstrable equivalent capability may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
