Senior Finance Director (Strategy & Corporate Development) | Global Music Business | London/Hybrid
Harmonic are delighted to be working with a well-established, internationally operating music business with a strong brand and a loyal global audience. The organisation is looking for a Senior Finance Director (Strategy & Corporate Development) to join their finance team in a newly created role.
The Role
This is a strategic finance position with real breadth and genuine ownership. While it sits within the corporate finance function, the scope leans firmly toward corporate development and strategic finance. Debt raising, valuation and capital structure work sit at the heart of the role: you will support refinancing transactions and credit facility negotiations, own capital structure planning, and lead the valuation and financial evaluation of strategic growth initiatives.
The technical bar is high. You will build and own complex multi-year financial models from scratch, and you will be trusted to run them autonomously: leading budgeting and reforecasting across all business units, then taking your analysis directly to the C-suite and board without layers of review above you. This is a role for someone who can do the work end to end, from model build through to presenting the story to the people making the decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
