Gleeson Recruitment Group are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Senior Finance Manager into a pivotal leadership role. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional to join a dynamic environment where they can drive performance, influence decision-making, and lead a high-performing team.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll take ownership of the finance function, playing a key role in supporting revenue growth and improving EBITDA performance. This is a highly visible position, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business and within a wider UK group structure.

You'll combine strong financial control with a forward-thinking, continuous improvement mindset, helping to modernise processes and deliver high-quality insight to support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end finance function, including management accounts, reporting, and financial controls
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and group finance teams
  • Own the month-end process, driving efficiency and ensuring tight reporting deadlines are met
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
  • Provide insightful analysis on business performance, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
  • Oversee audit processes and statutory obligations
  • Drive process improvements and optimise the use of ERP systems
  • Take ownership of capital expenditure tracking, fixed assets, and lease accounting
  • Lead and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

About You

We're looking for a hands-on, commercially focused finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong track record of managing and developing finance teams
  • Experience delivering fast, accurate month-end reporting
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
  • Strong technical knowledge (IFRS / UK GAAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for improving processes
  • Comfortable rolling up sleeves and supporting the wider team when needed
