Senior Finance Manager

Location: London (Hybrid – 2-3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £80,000–£90,000
Contract: 12 month FTC

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Finance Operations Manager to join a fast-growing, international technology business on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will act as their deputy, leading the day-to-day finance operations function while providing technical expertise, developing the finance team, and driving process improvement across a global business.

This is a broad, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with strategic improvement. You'll play a key role in ensuring business-as-usual finance activities run seamlessly while supporting ongoing transformation initiatives across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and technical accounting papers under IFRS.
  • Manage and develop a team of Financial Accountants, providing coaching, mentoring and performance support.
  • Oversee the quality and integrity of financial controls across multiple international entities.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors and support statutory reporting requirements.
  • Drive finance process improvements, automation initiatives and the adoption of AI-enabled efficiencies.
  • Support international finance operations, ensuring consistent reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing technical guidance and helping solve complex financial challenges.
  • Remain hands-on with technical accounting work rather than operating purely in a review capacity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
