STOIX is supporting the build-out of a brand-new centralised Insights function inside a $multi-billion-plus global technology and services business, thousands of employees, dozens of cost centres, real scale. This is the cost and productivity seat: you'll own the read the CFO currently doesn't have on OpEx, payroll and headcount, and tell leadership what's structural, what's noise, and what to actually do about it.
You will not be producing the cost pack and stopping there.
What you'll actually do:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Build genuine like-for-like reads when the org structure shifts mid-year: restating prior periods to the current boundary at employee grain, not quoting a headline percentage
- Go beyond a headcount count: cost per head, fully-loaded cost, span of control, productivity, each tied to a decision and an owner
- Separate run-rate from one-off and structural from temporary in a complex, fast-moving cost base
- Identify and quantify cost-optimisation opportunities and track them through to realised savings
- Lead a pod and set the cost-analysis agenda from day one
What gets you shortlisted:
- 8-12 years running SG&A, OpEx, cost or payroll-and-headcount FP&A at genuine scale (thousands of employees, many departments)
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA); sector is flexible, scale is not
- A genuine, current habit of using AI tools (Claude, Copilot or similar) to work faster and think sharper, not just awareness that they exist
- Real intellectual curiosity: you dig past the first answer, and can prove it with a real example
