Role and Personal Specification

This is a senior role in the Regis finance team with group-wide responsibilities spanning multiple operating platforms, sectors and entities across the UK and North America. The right candidate will be rigorous and process-driven, with a strong command of controls, compliance and reporting. They will be delivery focused and able to manage multiple priorities, delivering high-quality outputs to deadline. They will bring strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with senior leadership. They will set clear standards, drive strong accountability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Part of senior finance leadership, located in the transactional and reporting finance team.
  • Provide senior input into the production of statutory accounts and the year-end audit process across the group with an emphasis on timely delivery.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reporting packs, with clear analysis and insight to support decision-making.
  • Play a key role in ensuring consistency and integrity of financial reporting across the multi-entity, multi-platform group, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process through delivery of accurate financial information and analysis.
  • Help shape and maintain appropriate financial controls, data governance and internal controls, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and internal governance requirements, including appropriate segregation of duties, authorisation frameworks and fraud prevention measures.
  • Lead the ongoing development of scalable finance systems, driving automation and the use of AI to increase efficiency and support growth.
  • Assist implementation of treasury strategy, including cash flow planning and liquidity management.
  • Support indirect tax compliance, including VAT registrations and returns, ICO, assistance with SDLT returns, and PCI compliance.
  • Contribute to SDLT planning and compliance on transactions, working with external tax advisors as required.
  • Provide senior oversight of company secretarial and Companies House records across a multi-entity group, including SPVs and JVs.
  • Drive consistency, high standards and continuous improvement across finance systems, controls and reporting.
  • Support compliance with anti-money laundering regulations applicable to the group’s real estate activities, including customer due diligence and reporting obligations.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post-qualification industry experience.
  • Prior involvement in year-end audit process and producing statutory accounts across multiple entities.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing and strengthening financial controls, processes and governance.
  • Prior exposure to indirect tax compliance, including VAT returns and registrations, PCI compliance. Prior exposure to SDLT returns and ICO requirements is beneficial.
  • Experience of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting for multiple entities and business lines.
  • Experience of treasury and liquidity management across a leveraged or multi-entity structure.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems capability. Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems is beneficial.
  • Prior experience of improving and modernising accounting systems is beneficial. This might include finance transformation, system implementations, process automation or operating model redesign.
  • Sector experience in real estate, property management, private equity, hospitality or a similar investment-led environment would be advantageous.
