Senior Finance Manager – Modelling & Strategic Analysis

Role Overview

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of sophisticated financial models that support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Own and enhance the long-range financial planning model, ensuring it remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Produce insightful reporting, dashboards, and analysis that help senior leaders understand business performance and future opportunities.
  • Deliver scenario modelling, business case analysis, stress testing, and financial forecasting to support evolving commercial strategies.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial, and Executive stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight and influence key decisions.
  • Ensure financial models and reporting meet regulatory requirements while supporting external reporting and governance activities.
  • Streamline and improve reporting processes, introducing efficiencies and robust quality controls.
  • Develop clear documentation, user guides, and training materials to support wider ownership of financial models across the finance team.
  • Present complex financial information in a clear, engaging way using data visualisation and concise executive reporting.

Main Skills Needed

  • Proven experience building and maintaining complex integrated financial models covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key business metrics.
  • Strong background in FP&A, strategic planning, forecasting, and commercial financial analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to produce executive-level reporting and presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar financial planning systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of three-statement financial modelling and financial performance drivers.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience delivering scenario planning and decision-support modelling.
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships, influence senior stakeholders, and explain complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work across multiple business functions to deliver high-quality outcomes.
