Senior Finance Officer Internal Audit/ Fraud
Our team provide a full range of internal audit services to the Council, Kirklees Active Leisure and West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service. We currently require experienced and capable individuals who can make an immediate contribution to our team by carrying out a wide range of internal audits to professional standards.
The Role
We are looking for applicants that can undertake high level internal audits within all areas of the Audit Plan plus special investigations and other ad hoc pieces of work as and when necessary.
- You will also be expected, on occasions, to supervise, direct and motivate other staff in carrying out their work as allocated.
Ideally, you will CCAB qualified but IIA, AAT or part CCAB qualified applicants will be considered too. As important, you must be able to demonstrate the ability, through experience, to work at Senior Internal Audit Officer level. You will therefore have experience of analysing data and presenting and reporting detailed information for consideration by management.

- You will need to deliver a high-quality Internal Audit service.
- You will be able to evaluate financial and management information quickly and accurately, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong literacy and numeracy skills and be able to adapt easily to using new packages/IT systems.
Of particular importance is your ability to deliver audit assignments, including the keeping of all appropriate records and the production of clear concise written outputs, within agreed time limits in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards.
