Senior Finance Process Consultant
Location: London
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract Start Date: January 2026
Role Overview
This critical position supports and advises global Finance systems users across all offices. Key responsibilities include addressing system and process challenges, providing ServiceNow support, resolving ad-hoc queries, and implementing improvements via Change Request processes. Collaboration with the Technology team and senior colleagues on strategic and operational projects is essential. Additional tasks include master data maintenance, data integrity, and authorisations.
The role requires expertise in error resolution, technical issue identification, and driving continual improvements in finance systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
User Support & Policy Guidance
- Provide expert advice on finance policies and processes to global users.
- Offer guidance on SAP S/4HANA and SAP R/3 usage and best practices.
- Document policies and processes for the Finance manual.
- Assist in creating and delivering training materials and training sessions.
System & Process Management
- Maintain matter management systems, including:
- Matter opening
- Time recording
- Billing
- Debt collection
- Ensure timely responses to system requests and thorough testing of changes.

Authorization Management
- Approve and process access requests in alignment with finance policies.
- Conduct periodic authorization reviews with global managers and auditors.
Error Resolution
- Monitor and address system error logs promptly.
- Collaborate with end users and other departments to resolve issues efficiently.
Change Implementation
- Prepare technical change documentation.
- Work with the Technology team to implement and test improvements.
- Communicate updates to local offices and ensure adoption.
Project Support
- Assist senior colleagues with strategic and business-as-usual (BAU) projects.
- Participate in testing new solutions and training global users.
Requirements
Required Experience
- 4+ years of finance experience, particularly in matter management areas such as:
- Legal billing
- eBilling
- Time recording
- Cash collection
- Experience in the professional services industry.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP R/3.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Understanding of risks and priorities in international finance teams.

About the Team
The Process & Infrastructure team, part of Group Finance, acts as the primary contact for finance policies and processes. The team:
- Provides guidance to the global finance community.
- Manages system maintenance tasks.
- Drives system improvements and operational efficiencies.
