Job Description: Senior Finance Systems Accountant
Angel Court, London
Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office
Permanent
£65,000 per annum + fantastic benefits, including up to 10% bonus
Full time - 35 hours per week

As Senior Finance Systems Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our mission by guiding the business to use technology that strengthens the efficiency of our Actuarial Systems reporting.
You’ll join a team that leads strategic finance transformation projects, including a multi-year Actuarial Transformation Programme, and delivers technology solutions that make a real difference to our Group and Market Unit Finance Teams. Here, your expertise will help us make health happen for our customers and colleagues every day.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Operate and improve finance systems, collaborating closely with global users to maximise the tools’ functionality.
- Lead the operation of Actuarial Oracle EPM/Tagetik applications, ensuring robust controls and governance.
- Identify, assess, and implement system improvements to support efficient Actuarial reporting.
- Provide excellent service to Group Actuarial and Finance Reporting teams, acting as the go-to person for system-related activities.
- Monitor support issues and deliver effective system resolutions.
- Document systems and processes and liaise with internal and external audit teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Group and Market Unit finance teams, following Bupa’s change management governance.
- Manage Run and Change activities for Actuarial tools, including:
- Understanding end-to-end process flows and data requirements.
- Leading or participating in new technology initiatives.
- Translating functional requirements into application design and configuration.
- Supporting system delivery, testing, and end-user training for new initiatives.

What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Experienced finance systems professional with strong exposure to actuarial processes and applications.
- Comfortable operating at senior level, able to build strong stakeholder relationships and work independently, taking ownership and driving change.
- Experience working on projects involving multiple stakeholders, ideally across international teams.
- Deep understanding of EPM finance systems (Tagetik, Oracle EPM, Psicle, Aon Remetrica, SAP, IBM, or similar).
- Good grasp of databases, SQL, data uploads, interfaces, and data manipulation.
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Solid finance process knowledge in actuarial reporting, financial consolidation, or financial planning and reporting.
- Experience delivering and/or maintaining large-scale finance systems.
- Familiarity with user acceptance testing and change management processes.
- Ability to manage project schedules and workload within a collaborative team.
Desirable:
- Insurance or Big Four backgrounds (though other relevant backgrounds will be considered).
- Finance qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
- Experience in actuarial processes and system support.
