Description

An exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join the team of a leading investment firm based in London. The role offers exposure across financial control, business partnering, and process improvement, with the opportunity to help drive automation and operational excellence.

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing ongoing commercial support to the business. You’ll prepare management reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, oversee cash flow and treasury activities, and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory reporting requirements.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll provide commercial finance support while contributing to finance transformation initiatives. Part of the role in the day-to-day will focus on identifying potential technological tools, process improvement, leveraging ERP systems, AI, and automation tools to improve efficiency and reporting quality.

Skills

  • A Big 4 trained ACA or equivalent qualified accountant.
  • 3+ years’ post-qualified experience, including at least 2 years’ experience within industry (ideally within an investment fund, PE, or an Asset Manager).
  • Strong financial control and financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of FRS 102.
  • Proactive approach with an interest in technology, AI, and process improvement.
  • Experience preparing management accounts and month-end reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
  • Exposure to financial services or a regulated environment is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
