Location: Portsmouth, London or Bristol (role is mostly remote)

Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, high-quality financial reporting and strengthening financial controls across a complex, global organisation. Working within our Central Accounting Team, you’ll take ownership of:
- Fixed asset and lease accounting, supporting business-critical investment decisions
- Compliance and consistency across the Group
- Exposure across the business, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
Your typical tasks include:
- Managing fixed asset and lease accounting in line with IFRS 16 standards
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports
- Supporting month-end and year-end close activities across multiple entities
- Collaborating with finance teams, auditors, and business stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Driving improvements and standardisation across accounting processes and controls

This role offers full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) with hybrid working arrangements, including days onsite and remote work from home.
Requirements
Essential Experience
Your profile should include:
- Strong experience in IFRS 16 within a complex organisation
- Managing balance sheets, reconciliations and financial reporting activities
- Experience working across multi-entity or international environments
- Proficiency in using advanced Excel and finance systems such as SAP, Navision, or IFS
- An audit mindset or previous audit experience (advantageous)
Qualifications
- A qualified accountant (such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
