We are looking for a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to join our cluster finance team. This role is responsible for delivering accurate consolidated reporting across three UK manufacturing sites and ensuring robust financial controls and SOX compliance. You will also lead our AR, AP, and Finance Assistant teams, ensuring smooth and efficient transactional finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part qualified accountant seeking multi site exposure and a technically focused role without FP&A or operational manufacturing finance responsibilities.

In this position you will be responsible for:

Group Reporting

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements for the Norwich, Milton Keynes, and Flitwick sites.
  • Input weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts, KPI’s and group reporting requirements.
  • Ensure consistent accounting policies and high‑quality reporting across the cluster.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and group adjustments.
  • Support quarterly and annual reporting cycles and audit requirements.

Transactional Finance Leadership

  • Manage AR, AP, and a Finance Assistant, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
  • Oversee customer invoicing, credit control, supplier payments, and cash allocation.
  • Review aged debt, supplier reconciliations, and transactional KPIs.
  • Driving continuous improvement in processes and controls.

Financial Control

  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, provisions, and fixed asset processes.
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Lead internal and external audits.

SOX Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Lead SOX compliance activities across all three sites.
  • Coordinate testing, documentation, and remediation actions.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks.

Process Improvement

  • Standardise reporting and control processes across sites.
  • Support system enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with site finance teams to embed best practice.

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or a finalist, with strong technical accounting and financial control experience. You will also have a Knowledge of SOX compliance and audit processes, experience managing AR/AP or transactional finance teams, strong Excel and ERP skills. You will need to be detail oriented and organised, a proactive problem solver, a supportive people manager and a confident communicator who enjoys working across teams and sites.

The role will work on a day pattern (37.5 hours), Monday to Friday, the role is covers the Norwich, Milton Keynes, Flitwick sites (based in Norwich with travel to the other sites essential)
