Job Overview
Are you an experienced Financial Accountant?
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Global General Ledger team in a permanent remote role (UK only). This role specializes in the accounting of compensation & benefits, as well as corporate-based transactions, working closely with Payroll, Human Resources, and global Business Finance teams.
You’ll be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, visible passion for strategic financial objectives, and a desire to grow within a dynamic, global organisation.
Primary Responsibilities
- General ledger accounting of compensation & benefits plans, and distribution of U.S. GAAP vs. local statutory adjustments
- Reporting and analysis support to aid global business leaders in forecasting & strategy
- Streamlining processes and enhancing accounting & reporting support for global operations
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for accurate financial transparency
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounting schedules, ensuring alignment between U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements
- Review general ledger details and expense run-rates, making adjustments and reconciling discrepancies
- Provide insights to global finance leadership for forecasting, analysis, and strategic planning
- Develop, document, and monitor control systems, procedures, and compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley requirements)
- Support internal and external auditors in data collection and reporting
- Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure timely, accurate transaction recording
- Streamline processes by identifying and implementing process improvements, ad-hoc requests, and efficiency projects

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- CPA, CMA, or chartered accountant (CA) qualification, ideally part/fully qualified
- Extensive industry experience in global accounting, preferably in organisations with multinational sites or functions
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP frameworks and related regulations
- Hands-on accounting software proficiency: Blackline, Oracle, SAP (BPC/SAC) strongly preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite & PowerBI skills (PowerBI is essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Attention to detail, exceptional relationship-building skills, and thriving under tight deadlines
