One of my top, global law firm clients are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their London team. This role is a key part of the Finance team, supporting financial planning and analysis across multiple regions, primarily Europe and Asia, while collaborating with colleagues globally.

You will act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, delivering insight-driven financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance management.

Key Responsibilities In This Senior Financial Analyst Role

  • Partner with business leaders to understand performance drivers and provide actionable financial insights
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across international teams
  • Deliver detailed profitability analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and year-on-year reviews
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs highlighting key performance indicators such as utilisation, leverage, and expenses
  • Conduct client and project-level profitability and break-even analysis
  • Support firm-wide initiatives such as revenue forecasting and annual planning processes
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, making recommendations to leadership
  • Support strategic client management by providing financial insights and performance tracking
  • Review and validate headcount reporting and financial coding
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practice development within Finance
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis, projects, and reporting as required

  • Experience in financial analysis or a related field
  • Experience in a law firm/professional services is advantageous
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Understanding of financial controls and compliance principles
