What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead analysis of monthly and quarterly provision movements, identifying key drivers across portfolio mix, credit performance, model behaviour, macroeconomic assumptions, and overlays
- Support the preparation, control, and interpretation of provision outputs and related financial postings, ensuring reported numbers are robust, explainable, and appropriately governed
- Monitor developments in accounting, regulatory, and market practice, assessing their relevance to the Group’s Expected Credit Loss (ECL) framework, including emerging themes requiring reflection over time
- Collaborate with Credit Risk and other stakeholders to understand portfolio performance, key assumptions, and changes that may impact provision outcomes
- Support and influence model validation, audit, and governance activity by providing clear analysis, documentation, and constructive responses to challenges
About You
Essential Requirements
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Strong experience in IFRS 9 impairment, with a practical understanding of how Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), Exposure at Default (EAD), staging, and scenarios combine to produce ECL outcomes
- Ability to analyse and clearly explain provision movements, model behaviour, and emerging risks to Finance, Risk, and senior stakeholders
- Good understanding of model governance, validation, and controls, with the confidence to respond constructively to challenge
- Awareness of how provision models interact with wider frameworks (e.g., stress testing/regulatory models), and an ability to adopt a holistic view of risk
- Strong analytical capability with SQL/Excel, combined with sound judgement and a clear sense of ownership for outputs

- Haybrid working (office + remote) – 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
