About the Role
The Prime Video Finance team seeks a Finance Analyst to support the EU and LATCA marketing teams with planning and reporting as well as optimizing impact from campaign spend to drive growth across our business. The role would suit a commercially astute and highly analytical finance professional who is comfortable working with large volumes of data but also able to see the bigger picture.

Amazon Prime Video is a premium on-demand video entertainment service that offers customers the greatest choice in what to watch from popular Prime Original TV shows (made by Amazon Studios) such as The Rings of Power, The Grand Tour, The Boys, Reacher to Prime Original Movies like Saltburn and Air. The service also offers TV shows that are exclusively available for Prime members in each country, as well as live sport including the US TNF and The Champion's League.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Supporting month end procedures and identifying improvement and automation opportunities
- Evaluating month end spend through variance analysis, reporting back to business and finance stakeholders and owning end to end spend reporting and commentary across various mechanisms.
- Working with marketing leads on planning cycles, to consolidate figures as well as understand performance impact and strategic changes.
- Ad hoc analysis and reports for marketing and other PV finance teams.
- Controllership of spend data, performance commentary, planning data and data integration across various dashboards and platforms.

A Day in the Life
At month end this role is critical in working with the marketing business to ensure our financials correctly reflect our in month spend, as well as understanding key spend variances and incorporating plan changes into our reforecasts and planning cycles. This role is a key point of contact to both marketing and other PV finance teams, and the controller of total marketing spend data. This makes this role critical to ad hoc spend analysis, understanding country and title spend patterns and performance reporting. Project work varies greatly but there are always exciting pieces of work to get involved with across marketing finance.
About the Team
The team is highly dynamic and believes in high standards and earning trust with our business stakeholders. We pride ourselves in great working relationships with the marketing business, whilst being able to provide objective financial analysis and performance feedback. It is a diverse and fun team to work in, as is the marketing team and the wider Prime Video business the team supports.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or CPA
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
