We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Senior Financial Analytics and Business Insights Manager.
Within this role you will have strategic influence and visibility across HSBC’s Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) & HSBC’s Continental Europe Institutional Banking (HCIB) Finance function, where you’ll act as the steward for client and customer analytics driving continuous improvement in management insights visualisation for client profitability, data visualisation and business performance metrics. This role offers the opportunity to lead innovation in financial analysis, collaborate with senior stakeholders globally, and shape the future of client reporting and decision-making, all while managing high-impact projects and supporting business strategy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:
Drive the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) customer analytics agenda Client Reporting System (Omnia): Overseeing the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Omnia system, including data visualisation, new metrics, and ratios to monitor business performance. Delivering and Enhancing Management Insight Reports: Distributing key Commercial Finance reports (such as Opco MI, scorecards, and cross-business collaboration reports) and driving innovation in financial analysis to support business decisions. Supporting Strategic Projects and Business Transformation: Leading and supporting projects including customer cost allocation, international network strategy, scorecard development, and transitioning management reporting from traditional ledger accounting to customer driven insights. Collaborating with Global Stakeholders: Partnering with CIB business teams, regional finance teams, and Omnia Change Management to ensure smooth implementation of projects and BAU processes, and sharing best practices across regions. Ensuring Operational Effectiveness and Compliance: Applying financial rigor to projects, maintaining HSBC internal control standards, and ensuring compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and operational risk considerations.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), CFA, MBA or qualified by experience. Demonstrable experience within Financial Services, Consultancy (Financial services preferred) and with a strong background in business strategy and analysis. Demonstrable experience of management accounting and working with client or transaction reporting systems including executive level reporting is essential. Knowledge of financial products, especially a broad understanding of CIB products, and concepts of Client Value in the Global Markets business preferred. Collaborative, engaging, credible and methodical; being able to bring the numbers and narrative to life (e.g., presenting complex issues to senior stakeholders). Experience of being a strategic finance business partner, building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (all levels of seniority and geographies).
