Senior Financial Controller
Industry: Food Delivery Technology / Finance
Employment Type: Full-time
An experienced Senior Financial Controller is required to lead financial controllership for the UK & Ireland region within a global finance function. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, overseeing audit activities, maintaining regulatory compliance and partnering with senior stakeholders to improve financial processes and minimise risk.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, experience within large multinational organisations or Big Four environments, and the ability to influence stakeholders across finance, tax and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial controllership for the UK & Ireland region, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and quality of all financial reporting.
- Act as the primary contact for external audits, preparing technical accounting position papers and managing auditor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), internal accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review regional financial results and oversee finance operations outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Partner with Commercial Finance, Tax and other finance teams to support effective financial decision-making.
- Perform detailed financial analysis to support accurate and efficient month-end close activities.
- Identify financial risks and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure accounting treatments align with company policies.
- Maintain oversight of finance processes while anticipating accounting and tax implications of business activities.

Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and audit standards.
- Experience in financial controllership or audit within a large multinational organisation or Big Four accounting firm.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple business functions.
- Experience preparing technical accounting papers and managing external audit processes.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modelling and consolidation systems.
- Ability to manage complex financial processes while maintaining a strategic overview.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
