Senior Financial Controller

Senior Financial Controller | Music Industry | London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Salary: Up to £95,000 + bonus + excellent benefits

About the Role

This is a rare and exceptional Financial Controller opportunity within the music industry. You'll partner with some of the world's biggest record labels and artists, working alongside an exceptional CFO and Executive Leadership Team to transform the finance function. This is more than a traditional controllership role—you'll take a strategic seat at the table, advising senior leaders (including the CFO, Finance Director, Chief Licensing Officer and Director of Tax) on Distribution, Transformation, People, Change and Projects.

With significant investment in finance transformation and exposure to an outstanding leadership team, this role offers:

Key Responsibilities

The role spans both strategic business partnering and financial control excellence:

  • Oversee monthly/quarterly/year-end financial close.
  • Develop management accounts, Board packs, and financial reporting.
  • Main fast statutory accounts, regulatory reporting, and external audit.
  • Drive financial controls, compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, and governance.
  • Implement working capital management and balance sheet strategies.
  • Continuously improve finance processes and systems.
  • Provide strategic insight to senior stakeholders across Distribution, Transformation, Talent, People, and Projects.

About You

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with ** Financial Controller experience** and the leadership gravitas for a highly visible role.

You’ll bring: ✅ Experience as a Controller or Senior Controller with a proven track record. ✅ Strong technical accounting expertise, including UK GAAP/IFRS, statutory reporting, and audits. ✅ Ability to produce high-quality financial reports and maintain a robust control environment. ✅ Outstanding business partnering and stakeholder management skills. ✅ Experience leading and developing finance teams. ✅ The confidence to influence Executive and Board-level discussions. ✅ A proactive, transformation-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
