Senior Financial Education Consultant
Mercer is pleased to present an exciting opportunity to join our growing Financial Wellbeing team within Mercer Private Wealth. In this position you will work as part of a national team, serving a broad employer client base and partnering with Mercer Private Wealth and Financial Wellbeing colleagues.
Senior Financial Education Consultant
We are seeking a candidate with proven experience designing and delivering workplace financial education and engagement programmes to support employers of all sizes. The role combines client consultancy, workshop delivery (face‑to‑face and virtual) and portfolio management. You will manage an existing contractual client portfolio, generate profitable fee income and promote Mercer’s Financial Wellbeing proposition across the UK. If you enjoy client‑facing consultancy, delivering engaging learning experiences and driving measurable outcomes, you’ll be an excellent fit.
We will rely on you to:
Design profitable, commercial financial education programmes using face‑to‑face and digital channels that meet client objectives and drive employee engagement. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned employer clients, build trusted relationships and manage expectations. Work closely with colleagues across Mercer to identify, profile and convert new opportunities and to manage smooth handoffs and referrals. Deliver engaging workshops and clinics across a range of financial topics, tailored to diverse workforces and career stages (virtual and in‑person). Work with the Financial Education support team to ensure excellent client service and compliance with the Financial Education T&C scheme. Support the development of colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement of the proposition.

What you need to have:
Proven experience designing and delivering workplace financial education and engagement programmes. Track record of managing a client portfolio and achieving revenue objectives. Strong workshop and virtual presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse employee audiences. Excellent client service, stakeholder management and consultative skills (questioning, listening, handling objections). Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple contractual commitments concurrently. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable maintaining records and MI on core systems.
What makes you stand out:
Progress toward- or already attained Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent qualification. Strong prospecting and pipeline management skills, and experience converting engagement into commercial outcomes. Experience identifying referrals to regulated financial advice and collaborating with advisory teams. Multiregional client experience and familiarity with employer benefits landscapes across the UK.
