Senior Financial Planner – Edinburgh (Hybrid Role)

About Titan Wealth & the Role

Titan Wealth is a rapidly growing wealth management business operating across the UK and internationally. It pioneers a more fair, efficient, and effective business model to deliver advice-led wealth management services, empowering financial advisers and clients to achieve their goals.

Based in Edinburgh, this Senior Financial Planner position forms part of Titan Wealth Planning (TWP), supporting wealth management, retirement planning, and employee benefits. You’ll inherit and expand an existing client bank, offering a fantastic opportunity for experienced advisers to focus on client relationships and high-quality advice delivery—backed by paraplanning and client services teams.

Ideal candidate must have:

  • Proven experience in client relationship management within financial planning
  • Ability to deliver holistic financial advice across pensions, investments, tax, and protection
  • Commitment to long-term client engagement and proactive service

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Advice Delivery

  • Take full ownership of a client bank, delivering ongoing holistic financial planning advice
  • Lead advice across key areas:
    • Pensions
    • Investments
    • Protection
    • Tax planning
    • Retirement strategies
  • Strengthen client relationships by identifying new advice opportunities
  • Ensure excellent client outcomes, service standards, and communication throughout the client journey
  • Manage review cycles, proactively engaging with clients
  • Increase revenue via client referrals and cross-selling
  • Collaborate with Titan’s investment, employee benefits, and other specialist teams for integrated solutions

Business Development

  • Actively develop your client base, capitalising on existing opportunities
  • Foster organic growth through referrals and professional introducers
  • Build and maintain external relationships with accountants, solicitors, and other advisors
  • Align local growth strategies with regional and national ambitions

Compliance & Governance

  • Deliver advice in full compliance with FCA regulations and Titan’s policies
  • Maintain Competent Adviser Status (CAS) and adhere to Fit & Proper requirements
  • Ensure client files and suitability reports meet compliance standards
  • Stay updated on industry developments and technical knowledge
  • Operate in line with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles

About You

Essential Requirements

✔ Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) ✔ CAS status or current Suitable and Proper Person (SPS) holder ✔ Proven experience managing client relationships as a Financial Planner ✔ Strong ability to deliver holistic financial advice ✔ Excellent communication and relationship management skills

Desirable

🔹 Chartered Financial Planner status, or working towards it 🔹 Experience with inheriting or managing an existing client bank 🔹 Broad technical knowledge across all financial planning domains 🔹 Previous paraplanning support experience

(Hybrid role: Office-based in Edinburgh with client visits. Fewer than 2 days mandatory in-office per week.)
