Senior Financial Planner | Existing Client Portfolio | Poole & Salisbury

Role

We are working exclusively with a well-established, independent Chartered financial planning business to secure an experienced Senior Financial Planner to join their team, splitting time across their Poole and Salisbury offices. The role will be taking over an existing client portfolio based in the local area, predominantly professional partnership of the businesses, alongside the opportunity to continue growing the book organically. The role follows a hybrid working pattern.

You will manage a portfolio of high-value and complex clients, delivering tailored, proactive holistic advice across tax planning, retirement strategies, investment management, and estate planning. You will work closely with paraplanners and client executives to ensure efficient case management and will be expected to identify and pursue new business opportunities through referral, networking, and professional partnerships. In addition, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting more junior planners within the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
