Due to continued growth, a rare new opportunity has arisen to join an established and forward-thinking Financial Planning business in their Scottish leadership team to oversee their financial advisers. This position offers an opportunity to shape performance, foster development, and drive high standards of client service within a regulated environment. This management role centres on guiding a diverse group of financial advisers, from emerging talent to seasoned professionals. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in building capability across the team, ensuring individuals are supported, challenged, and continuously developed to achieve their full potential.
Working within a collaborative and high-performing culture, the individual will influence both strategic direction and day-to-day execution, ensuring consistent delivery of compliant, high-quality client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set clear individual performance objectives aligned to broader commercial goals
- Provide structured coaching, mentorship, and ongoing feedback to advisers at varying stages of their careers
- Take accountability for overall team performance against business targets
- Use insight, analytics, and market awareness to highlight opportunities and areas for improvement
- Partner closely with operational and technical teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Design and implement effective learning and development initiatives
- Oversee regulatory sign-off requirements within defined permissions
- Promote and uphold regulatory standards, including conduct expectations and governance frameworks
- Support the implementation and adherence to relevant regulatory regimes and controls

The organisation is looking for a proven leader who combines technical expertise with strong people management capability.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- A recognised Level 4 qualification in regulated financial advice (minimum requirement)
- Substantial experience managing financial advisers in a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of advisory processes and client relationship management
- A flexible and adaptive leadership style, able to engage individuals with differing experience levels
- A track record of delivering results through others, supported by commercial awareness
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, performance-driven setting while maintaining strong relationships
