Senior Financial Services Administrator

Financial Services Senior Administrator

Location: Hybrid between Ansty Head Office (Coventry, CV7 9JU) and remote (2 days/week in office) Duration: 14 months

About the Role

As the UK’s largest gas distribution network, Cadent ensures safe, reliable energy distribution while driving progress towards a net-zero future. Within our strong Financial Services team, you’ll maintain smooth, accurate, and compliant financial operations.

We’re seeking a Financial Services Senior Administrator to support core financial processes—billing, invoicing, credit control, and reporting. You’ll take ownership of complex queries, maintain high-quality financial data, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement.

This is the opportunity to make an impact, with your judgement shaping processes and ensuring financial integrity. If you thrive in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment where service excellence matters, this role could be perfect for you.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Build your experience – Gain insight into multiple Financial Services processes, including billing, invoicing, credit control, and reporting.
  • Take ownership – Handle escalations and complex queries, using your judgement to resolve issues and deliver consistent service.
  • Develop your skills – Strengthen technical knowledge, problem-solving, and decision-making in a supportive, collaborative team.
  • Make an impact – Ensure data accuracy, support audits, and propose process improvements across Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
  • Work across the business – Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve challenges and uphold Cadent’s exceptional service standards.
  • Drive improvement – Identify inefficiencies and champion pragmatic, scalable solutions for efficiency and quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
