Senior Financial Systems Developer (IBM Planning Analytics / TM1)

Location: London, hybrid
Employment Type: 12 month FTC

About the Role

Codex's client is seeking a Senior TM1 Developer to lead the design and delivery of their new regulatory reporting project.

This is a high-impact role focused on transforming the way regulatory reporting is produced by replacing manual, Excel-based processes with a scalable, automated solution built using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and supporting technologies including SQL, Python, Excel/VBA, and Power BI.

Working closely with Prudential Regulatory Reporting, Finance, and IT stakeholders, you will take ownership of the technical solution from requirements gathering through to design, development, testing, and implementation. You'll play a key role in improving reporting efficiency, strengthening data governance, and delivering a robust platform that supports critical regulatory reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of an end-to-end automated FINREP reporting solution using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
  • Replace manual Excel-based reporting processes with scalable, automated, and controlled system solutions.
  • Partner with Prudential Regulatory Reporting and Finance stakeholders to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical designs and reporting logic.
  • Design, build, and maintain TM1 cubes, dimensions, rules, and TurboIntegrator (TI) processes supporting FINREP Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) reporting.
  • Develop and optimize SQL-based data pipelines and ETL processes to source, transform, and load data into TM1 from multiple upstream systems.
  • Design and implement reconciliation routines, data quality controls, and exception reporting to ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and auditability.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and ensure governance standards are embedded throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to support testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of the reporting platform.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, automation, and reporting capability.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to colleagues, promoting best practice across financial systems development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
