Senior fire Alarm Engineer

Senior Fire Commissioning / Installation Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join a growing team working on large-scale commercial projects across the North West.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems on major commercial and industrial sites, including high-profile warehouse and distribution projects.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who is confident working independently and capable of delivering high standards on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems
  • Working on large commercial and industrial projects
  • Fault finding, testing, and system handovers
  • Ensuring projects are completed to specification and deadlines
  • Providing technical support where required
  • Optional participation in the call-out rota

Areas Covered

  • North West region
  • Primarily around the M62 / Manchester corridor

Package

  • Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
  • Overtime available
  • Pension scheme
  • Company laptop & phone
  • Fuel card provided
  • Optional call-out rota (1 in 6)
  • Standby allowance: £50 per week
  • Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am – 4:30pm

Travel

Typically around 30 minutes each way

  • Strong fire alarm commissioning and installation background
  • Experience on large commercial projects
  • Able to work independently and solve problems on-site
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on major commercial projects such as logistics, warehouse, or Amazon-style facilities
  • Knowledge of leading fire alarm manufacturers
