THE ROLE
Affinity Fire Engineering is a specialised fire safety consultancy firm servicing a diverse range of clients and sectors throughout the UK & Ireland. We have vacancies available and are looking for proactive and experienced Senior Fire Engineers to join the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production of fee proposals, fire strategy reports and other relevant documentation as and when required.
- Attend Client meetings, conduct site surveys and inspections and communicate the intended fire strategy to the design team and client through phone calls, emails and meetings as appropriate.
- Reviewing architectural drawings to determine potential fire strategy approval risks and opportunities to add value.
- Calculations of evacuation times - Means of Escape Analysis.
- Computational Evacuation Modelling Analysis.
- Solve, with support, fire engineering calculations including radiant heat, smoke control and occupant evacuations.
- Third Party Review/Design Verification.
- Assessment and understanding of the main UK fire safety legislation and standards applied to buildings.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
We provide consultancy services that are strategic, focussed on delivery, manage risk and benefit our clients. We are looking for people with strong technical and analytical skills, but we are also looking for the following qualities:

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Fire Engineer within a Fire Safety Engineering team with some basic project management experience.
- IFE Membership (MIFireE or AIFireE).
- A thorough understanding of ADB, BS 9999 and BS 9991.
- Working knowledge of regulatory controls and a proven ability to develop and implement fire engineered design solutions in the built environment.
