Senior/Principal Fire Engineer

My client is a well-established, forward-thinking fire engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering technically robust fire safety solutions across a diverse range of projects throughout the UK. With a collaborative culture and ambitious growth plans, the business is investing heavily in its technical team and is looking for an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex projects while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
The Role
As a Senior/Principal Fire Engineer, you will lead the delivery of a broad range of fire engineering projects, working closely with clients, developers, architects, and internal stakeholders to provide practical, compliant, and commercially focused fire safety solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on greater technical responsibility while helping shape and develop a growing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Fire Engineering projects across a varied portfolio.
- Produce and review Fire Strategies, Fire Statements and remediation advice.
- Complete and review FRAEWs in accordance with PAS 9980.
- Attend client meetings to discuss technical solutions and project requirements.
- Review technical reports and provide quality assurance across the team.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their professional development.
- Assist with technical standards, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the business.
About You
Keen to speak with experienced Fire Engineers who have:
- Strong experience producing Fire Strategies and Fire Statements.
- Experience completing FRAEWs in line with PAS 9980.
- Excellent knowledge of Approved Document B, BS 9999 and BS 9991.
- Previous experience reviewing technical reports and providing technical guidance.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Professional memberships or qualifications such as IFE, IFSM, CABE, EngTech, or relevant Level 4/5 Fire qualifications would be advantageous.
