Centurion Fire Safety Solutions Ltd is a rapidly growing, independent fire engineering and fire safety consultancy delivering high-quality advice across healthcare, education, residential, commercial, and complex infrastructure projects throughout the UK. The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join our team. We are particularly interested in individuals who are Chartered or actively working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and are looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and ambitious consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce fire strategies and fire engineering reports across all RIBA stages.
  • Provide technical fire safety advice to clients and design teams.
  • Undertake plan reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Attend client and design team meetings.
  • Liaise with architects, contractors, and approving authorities.
  • Support and mentor graduate and junior engineers.
  • Assist with peer reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage project delivery and programme requirements.
  • Support business development and maintain client relationships.
  • Contribute towards continual improvement and technical excellence.

About You

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience within a fire engineering consultancy.
  • Excellent knowledge of:
    • Approved Document B
    • BS 9991
    • BS 9999
    • Other wider fire safety legislation and guidance.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake occasional site visits.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards chartership.
  • Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or equivalent professional body.
