Our rapidly expanding Consultancy division—particularly across London—seeks a holistically experienced Senior Fire Engineer to drive complex fire engineering assessments and deliver detailed, customer-safe outputs. This is a senior, client-facing role where both technical excellence and professional credibility are key.

- Conduct fire engineering assessments across diverse building types and tenures; apply robust professional judgment and update technical knowledge.
- Compile and present clear, well-structured fire engineering reports and deliverables, ensuring client-ready precision.
- Act as the senior technical point of contact for clients on live projects—managing relationships professionally and proactively.
- Support the expansion of the London consultancy team through contributions to business development, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with preconstruction, consultancy, and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain currency with evolving legislation, standards (including the Building Safety Act), and guidance for regulatory compliance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
