The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned, home-based Senior Fire Safety Consultant to join our dynamic consultancy team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and challenge, as you will:

  • Conduct fire risk assessments
  • Perform audits
  • Provide top-tier consultancy support to our clients

Your week will be a mix of on-site visits and home-based report writing, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. Travel to various sites is essential, so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

Your Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Qualifications
    • High-level fire-related qualification (degree or Level 4/5 Diploma minimum)
  • Experience
    • At least 5 years in commercial and residential Fire Risk Assessments
  • Knowledge
    • Thorough understanding of current legislation, Building Regulations, and British Standards
  • Skills
    • Excellent report writing, IT, and communication skills

  • Professional Memberships
    • IFE (AIFireE minimum) or IFSM (MIFSM minimum)
  • Specialised Skills
    • Experience with:
      • Passive Fire Protection Surveys
      • Retrospective Fire Strategy documents
      • Smoke control calculations
      • Thermal radiation analyses
  • Health & Safety
    • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
