Senior Fire Safety Programme Manager
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Fire Safety Programme Manager to join the Guinness team on a fixed term contract, initially for a 6-month period.
As a Senior Fire Safety Programme Manager, you will provide operational leadership across fire safety programmes, including Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) actions, fire door programmes, fire safety inspections, audits, and associated remedial works. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day leadership of fire safety programmes, ensuring actions are effectively managed, prioritised, and closed.
- Producing, operating, and maintaining structured fire safety workplans aligned to risk, governance, and financial priorities.
- Managing fire safety contractors and consultants, monitoring performance, and driving quality and delivery improvements.
What We Are Looking For
We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. In addition to bringing strong programme and action-management skills, you will have the ability to manage complex fire safety backlogs, competing priorities, and regulatory requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
