Senior Firmware Engineer

Location: Teesside

Salary: DOE

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with a leading radiation detection technology business based in Teesside, looking to bring a Senior Firmware Engineer to their team. In this role you will contribute towards global research and academic communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing & enhancing handheld products
  • Requirements gathering
  • Firmware design, development and testing
  • Software configuration management
  • Working as part of a multi-discipline team

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Good problem-solving skills, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Able to collaborate to support hardware design and development
  • Able to easily pick up new technologies

Experience required:

  • Strong Arm Cortex M4 bare-metal and RTOS embedded C firmware development
  • Experience of communication technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB
  • Experience developing peripherals including I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, ADC
  • Knowledge and experience of battery technology and management in handheld products (desirable).
