Senior Flex Product Owner

Department: YUR - 2070 - Billing

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Nottingham

Reporting To: Head of Billing

Compensation: £40,000 - £45,000 / year

Description

Reports to: Head of Billing

Location: Full Time In Office, Nottingham (NG8)

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What We Need from Yü

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Trading, Finance, Operations, Customer Services, and Regulatory teams
  • Act as the key interface between the business and technical teams
  • Translate commercial propositions (e.g. Flex Tariffs, dynamic pricing, EV tariffs, demand-side response incentives) into clear, deliverable billing requirements
  • Support flex billing outputs in line with commercial vision.
  • Prioritise and manage the product backlog aligned to business goals, customer outcomes, and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with technical and delivery teams to deliver high-quality billing outputs.
  • Define and maintain billing reconciliation (charging, credits, adjustments)
  • Ensure billing solutions are accurate, scalable, and transparent for customers
  • Support testing, release management, and operational readiness
  • Identify and mitigate billing risks and revenue assurance issues
  • Continuously improve billing processes to support future flexibility offerings

About Yü

If you have what it takes you could be just what we’re looking for…

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in a complex or regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of energy billing or complex pricing structures
  • Experience with Flex product structures
  • Experience with smart meter data, half-hourly billing, or time-of-use tariffs
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into user stories
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Experience in UK energy market (desirable)
  • Knowledge of billing platforms such as Junifer, ICE, Kraken, SAP IS-U or similar
