Role Description
The Senior Florist is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role involves designing and creating high-quality bouquets, arrangements, and large-scale installations for retail customers, corporate clients, weddings, funerals, and events. The Senior Florist will lead day-to-day floristry operations, including supervising junior florists, allocating tasks, and ensuring floral work meets brand standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

- Selecting and conditioning flowers
- Managing stock and ordering
- Maintaining workspace and display areas
- Supporting the setup and breakdown of event installations
- Collaborating with the sales and events teams
- Assisting with bespoke design consultations
- Ensuring timely delivery preparation
- Upholding health, safety, and sustainability practices
Qualifications
- Strong floristry skills, including bouquet construction, arrangement design, and large-scale installation work using a variety of fresh and preserved materials.
- Experience in event, wedding, and corporate floristry, with the ability to interpret client briefs and create bespoke designs aligned with brand standards.
- Proficiency in flower care and handling, including conditioning, stock rotation, and seasonal selection to maintain quality and reduce waste.
- Team leadership experience, with the ability to supervise, mentor, and coordinate junior florists in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-facing skills, including client consultation, clear communication, and a professional approach to service and problem-solving.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with experience working to tight deadlines and coordinating multiple orders or projects.
- Awareness of sustainability and industry standards (e.g., Fair Flowers Fair Plants), with a commitment to responsible sourcing and practices.
- Previous experience as a senior florist or in an advanced floristry role; formal floristry training or certification is highly beneficial.
