Role Description
As a Senior Facilities Management Consultant within our Asset Optimisation practice, you’ll have the opportunity to work on varied, meaningful projects that help clients create better places to live, work and thrive. You’ll support organisations in getting more value from their property portfolios — improving performance, informing smarter decisions and helping property deliver real business benefit.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an FM professional who enjoys solving problems, working with clients and being part of a collaborative consultancy team. You’ll bring your facilities management experience to a mix of public and private sector projects, supporting areas such as FM strategy, life-cycle modelling, PFI handbacks, digital transformation and portfolio planning.
If you’re looking for a role where you can broaden your experience, work with a diverse client base and continue building your consultancy career in a supportive environment, this could be the ideal next step.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver consultancy services across a broad client base, including Central Government departments, local authorities, Defence, education and health; SPVs, lenders/funders, service providers and contractors; and private sector organisations including financial institutions, conglomerates, housing, automotive, pharmaceuticals and infrastructure.
- Lead and support Asset Optimisation assignments covering PFI advisory (including handback), property asset management and portfolio strategy, FM strategic advisory (life-cycle and backlog modelling), TOTEX optimisation and whole-life costing, benchmarking, value-for-money reviews, and compliance/audit work.
- Support digital transformation and data-driven decision-making, including CAFM implementation.
- Contribute to strategic reviews and target operating model design.
- Support supply chain/procurement activities.
- Deliver data analytics, cost estimation and feasibility studies.
- Provide contract support (including PFIs).
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to a positive client experience.
- Contribute to business development and thought leadership, and support junior colleagues where appropriate.
- Uphold quality, governance and compliance standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
