Working autonomously to maintain & grow the business via the development of profitable, delicious, nutritious & sustainable products &/or solutions for selected customers. Solutions should be process stable, both internally and externally whilst still ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities: To work collaboratively with marketing and customers to enable on time in full delivery of authentic, marketable, profitable products. Create, formulate, and provide process parameters for new product developments aligned with customer, legislative and food safety requirements within the scope of Griffith long range plan and purpose driven strategy. Applies nutritional knowledge to design and execute R&D solutions Apply and customise innovation solutions and tailor for specific market needs. Sets own priorities and works independently to deliver work load on time and in full. Formula Management Develops close working relationships with selected/assigned customers through direct contact Coordinates, plans and runs production trials of new products, both internally and at customer locations; provides technical support in resolving on-going issues and completes full technical reports. Understand and contribute towards the delivery of Business Key Performance Indicator’s Using relevant IT systems correctly to ensure that full audit trail is in place and all metrics for KPI’s can be measured. Understands the customer’s requirements (ingredient, product, and legislative restrictions), their operational processes and their technical requirements. In collaboration with the wider GTM team, writes and conducts product presentations & workshops to the customer showing our products in application & in a marketable format. Participates and supports in the development of new products to align with key market data and trends. Project and process management Coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team. Support quality & operations on product optimisation, up scaling and root cause analysis. Undertake full organoleptic analysis of food products (therefore no food allergies or food restrictions.) Proactively and visibly supports the Health and Safety standards, rules and regulations of the organization Working environment is mainly lab based with some time within the factory either internally or externally.
