This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker with experience of, or an interest in, forensic social work.

West London Forensic Service provides in-patient care for adults detained under the Mental Health Act in low and medium secure settings. The service supports recovery while ensuring safety for both service users and the wider community.

This role will focus on providing Social Work input within a low secure pre-discharge service. You will work as part of a well-established multi-disciplinary team, contributing to safeguarding, statutory reporting, carer support, and risk management.

The Trust is also leading a new NHS England initiative through the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT), supporting service users to transition from secure settings into the community, improving outcomes and quality of life.

Applications are welcomed from experienced Social Workers, including those outside forensic settings, who can demonstrate strong transferable skills.

  • You will join a supportive team
  • Benefit from regular supervision
  • Manageable caseloads
  • Access to development opportunities across the Trust

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
